Obituary:

Melba Louise Elledge, age 78, of Louisville, NE; passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Louisville Care Center.

She was born July 2, 1933 in Bessville, MO; daughter of John Paintney and Anna Mae Garland Long. She and William Glen Elledge were united in marriage on July 19, 1952 and he passed away on March 11, 1997.

Melba worked for the Paramount Hat factory as an assembler, active with the Senior Center in Louisville, NE; and a member of the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Bill Elledge of Luther, OK; Chris Elledge of Kearney, NE; a daughter, Debbie Leadbetter of Gallatin, MO; a sister, Wilma Shell of Jackson; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a good friend Frank ”Tony” Gannaway of Louisville, NE.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, a son Robert, 2 brothers Milford and Buford Long, and a son-in-law Don Leadbetter.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral Service will be Friday, 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Cook and Rev. David Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
