Obituary:

Toney Marler of Marble Hill died January 10, 1994 at his home. He was 77. He was born October 26, 1916 at Pilot Knobs, son of George and Susie Hagger Marler. He and Sarah McDonald were married in 1938.

He moved to this area in 1965 from Hopedale, Ill.

Survivors are his wife of Minier, Ill.; four daugters, Martha Haverland of Lincoln, Ill., Barbara Phillips of Atlanta, Ill., Ruth Howard of Fairbury, Ill. and Joy Reese of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, Arthur Marler of Glen Allen and Walter Golden of Potosi; four sisters, Lucy Ross of Linn Creek, Liza Boyer of Festus, Argene Boyer of Old Mines and Annie Rollins of Potosi; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Two daughters and a brother proceded him in death.

Services were held Thursday at Liley Funeral Home with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park near Marble Hill.
