Obituary:
Omer Jesse Shell Jr., age 75, of Glen Allen, MO, passed away Monday June 5, 2006, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
He was born December 23, 1930 in St. Louis, MO son of Omer Jesse and Margaret Rush Shell Sr.
Mr. Shell was a twenty year veteran serving his country as a 1st. Sargent with the US Army, from 1948 to 1968, he was a member of the VFW Post #5900, and was a retired teamster with Swift And Company. In later years he enjoyed a small engine repair business.
Survivors include; three daughters Sandy Oxford of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Pat Lusk of Rolla, MO, Gerri Shell, LaCrosse, WI, one brother, Jerry Shell, Baton Rough, LA, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a girl friend Treva Loughary, Glen Allen, a best friend, Richard Crader, Marble Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Fred Ritter Officiating.
Burial with full military honors by the Missouri Honors Team will follow at the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
