Obituary:

Ward C. Yocks, age 91, of Marble Hill, MO passed away on May 18, 2014 at his residence.

He was born October 1, 1922 at Belleville, IL; son of Elmer J. and Virginia Christ Yocks. He and Marie M. Crank were united in marriage in July 1955 and she preceded him in death on September 10, 2011.

Ward was a builder in the construction industry and served his country proudly in the US Army during WWII. He earned three bronze stars and three Presidential Citations for his service in New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon.

Survivors include: cousins Diana McGraw of Alton, IL; Michelle McGraw, Ryan and Ethan Foley of Godfrey, IL; Michael (Kris) Madison and Klein McGraw of Leawood, KS; Niece and Nephew Carolyn and Dean Lowe of Puxico, MO.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a step son Willey Joe Bathe.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 9:30 AM until time of Service at 11:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Leslie officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO; with full military honors.
