Obituary:

Roxie L. Butler age 77, of Marble Hill passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at her residence.

She was born May 3, 1930, in Borden Springs, AL., the daughter of Joseph and Emma E. Gilley Knott. She and Emmett Dean Butler were married in 1946 and he died July 3, 1981.

Roxie was a member of the Cottage of Grace General Baptist Church and had worked as a factory worker for several years.

Survivors include: one son; Eddie Dean Butler of Shabbona, IL, three daughters Patty Bostic and Diane Chorba both of Marble Hill, Barbara Click of Capron, IL, one sister, Martha Hudgins of Tampa, FL, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and seven sisters.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23 from 4-8 P.M., at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral will be Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 10 A.M., at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill with the Rev. Gene Robins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Missouri Hospice Care.
