Obituary:

Viola Mayfield, 86, of Advance, MO; died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, MO.

She was born February 29, 1924 at Lutesville, MO; daughter of Avery Rosewell and Sara E. Hahn Crites. She and Charley Mayfield were united in marriage on November 29, 1943 and he passed away on October 31, 1988.

Viola had taught school for the Advance School System and was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include: one son-n-law, Milton Andre of St. Peters, MO; one brother John E. Crites of Cape Girardeau, two grandsons, Phillip Charles Andre and Adam Ross Andre both of St. Peters; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter Charla Sue Andre, one brother, Avery Crites, and one sister, Cleo Long.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30, 2010, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 2:30 PM at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Hoyt officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park near Marble Hill, MO.
