Obituary:
Louise Godwin, 83, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 3, 1921 at Neelyville, MO, daughter of Clarence Walter and Lola Mae Lumpkins Elliott. She and Ray Godwin were married Jan. 14, 1939.
She was a member of the Point Pleasant General Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include: her husband, three sons, Bobby (Ellen), Jimmy (Angie), and Michael Godwin all of Marble Hill, three daughters, Connie (Jim) Hahn, Festus, Patsy (Bill) Massey and LaDonna (Junior) Mayfield both of Marble Hill, three sisters, Shirley Reynolds, Marble Hill, Edith Tettaton, Arnold, MO, Bette Duran, Norfolk, VA, nineteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her parents, one son Ronnie, one brother, three sisters, one grandson, two great grandsons, and one great-great grandson.
Visitation will be Friday Dec. 3, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Revs. Lloyd Ray Green and Bud Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
