Obituary:

Fern James, 93, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the El Nathan Home.

She was born July 29, 1915 at Crump, MO daughter of Charles J. and Sarah Francis Moore Williams. She and Lindell L. James were united in marriage on April 25, 1931 and he died December 13, 1999.

Mrs. James was a housewife, a member of the Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church and attended the Marble Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors include; one son, Jack L. James of Marble Hill; one daughter, Linda E. Stroder of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2009, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Lockhart and Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO.
