Obituary:
George H. Statler, age 90, of Marble Hill, died Friday January 9, 2004 at the family home following an illness.
He was born December 8, 1913 near Sedgewickville, MO, son of the late Joseph and Mary Statler.
On September 7, 1940 he was united in marriage to Ethel M. Eaker near Lutesville, MO.
Mr. Statler had worked for the McDonald Air Craft from 1955 until 1974 and was a very active farmer in Bollinger County. He attended the New Sylvan General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Marble Hill, one son, Sonny G. Statler, Marble Hill, one sister Ellen Johnson, Chicago, IL, one grandson Mark Statler and one great granddaughter Chyna Statler.
Preceding him in death was two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. The Funeral Service will be Sunday at 1:00 PM at the funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
