Obituary:

Paul Lynwood Hammontree, age 70, of Marquand, MO, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at his residence.

He was born October 5, 1934, at Tupelo, Ark, son of Dorris Fritz and Elsie Keith Collier Hammontree. He and Betty Jean Thornton were united in marriage on June 4, 1954 and she preceded him in death on May 29, 2002.

He worked for Koch Industries as a Truck Driver and attended New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include one; son Billy Paul Hammontree, Panama City, FL, two daughters, Diann Routh, Paulett Schoonover, both of Bakersfield CA, one brother, Thomas Hammontree, Patton, one sister Emma Lillian Martin, Patton, seven grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
