Obituary:
Charles Edward Fulbright, 100, of Marble Hill, Mo., died March 17, 2018, at Woodland Hills. Born in Marble Hill on October 13, 1917, he was the son of Frank F. and Emma Patton Fulbright. He married Melba Pauline Cook on March 28, 1945. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2017.
Charlie retired from livestock farming and working as a salesman for Moorman Feed. He was a WW II Veteran of the Asiatic Pacific theatre which included time with coastal artillery in the Aleutian Islands and one bronze star. He was a long-time member of the Jackson Church of Christ.
He is survived by one son, Leonard (Judy) Fulbright of Marble Hill and a grandson, Shane Fulbright of Austin, Texas.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by four sisters: Reva Fulbright, Mae Upchurch, Vallie Robins, and Lilly Fulton; four stepbrothers: Walter, Chester, Linsel, and Shelton Fulton; and one stepsister, Mabel.
Visitation will be at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill on Tuesday from 10:00 am until noon. Funeral services will begin at noon at the funeral home with Gary Miller officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
