Obituary:

Anna Alice Hovis, age 87, of Zalma, MO, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 16, 1921 in Olathe, Colorado daughter of Rev. Otto and Tora Richards Pridy. She married David Eugene Hovis on December 23, 1940.

Mrs. Hovis was a homemaker and affiliated with the Turkey Creek General Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband; David E. of Zalma, seven sons, Tom (Judy) and Bill (Bernia) Hovis both of Hiram, Bob (Opal) and John (Janice) Hovis both of Zalma, Jim (Soozi) Hovis of Sikeston, Joe Hovis of Poplar Bluff, Mike (Sandy) Hovis of Advance, MO., twenty three grandchildren and thirty three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Tom Pridy, two sisters, Lena Gray and Helen Baker and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Jamie Hovis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
