Obituary:

Merrell L. "Appy" Taylor, age 66, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the John Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.

He was born Jan 27, 1939 in Cape Girardeau, MO, son of Merrell Jacob and Medford L. Propst Taylor.

He worked for the Riley Land Surveying Service in Marble Hill, and was a member of the Marble Hill First Baptist Church.

He served his country proudly for eight years in the US Army during the Viet Nam war.

Survivors include; his mother of Marble Hill, a brother Richard Taylor, Jackson, MO, a sister Winonah "Sissy" Ossig, Marble Hill.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2005 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev Fred Ritter officiating.

Burial and full military rites will follow at the Memorial Pavilion at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery, near Marble Hill.
