Obituary:

Mrs. Rita Mae Shell of Advance died Sunday, April 27, 1986 at Bond Nursing Center. She was 82.

She was born May 20, 1903 in Trace Creek, daughter of the late Grandison and Mary Louise Bruk Sample. On October 15, 1921 she married Norman Robert Shell who preceded her in death.

She was a housewife and a member of the Dongola Church since May 20, 1917.

Surviving are three sons, Grant Shell of Advance, Burk Shell of Sturdivant, Norman R. "Bob" Shell of Bloomfield; seven daughters, Mary Lou Winchester and Carol Costello of Advance, Velma Bess of Cape Girardeau, Charlene King of Hillsboro, Brenda VanGennip of Lutesville, JoAnn Parker, Norma Lee Nelson of Houston, Tex.; 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. A son, daughter, three brothers and three sisters proceded her in death.

Service will be Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Home with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park, Lutesville.
