Obituary:

Max Benfield, 52, of Zalma, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at his residence.

He was born September 24, 1957, in Kankakee, IL; son of Clyde James Sr. and Norma L Killian Benfield. He and Robin Tobin were united in marriage on September 1, 1991.

Mr. Benfield worked in construction and drove a truck for Arab Stone.

Survivors include: his wife, Robin of Zalma, five daughters, Max-an Benfield of Wappapello, MO, Jessi-may Benfield, Benton, PA; April Hennessy and Michelle Schafforth both of Kankakee, IL, Amanda Collins of Patterson, MO; one brother, Mike Benfield, Clifton, IL, one sister, Charlotte Koenig, Caseyville, IL; and seven granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Clyde James Benfield Jr.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Cletus Benfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO.
