Juanita Porter, age 91, of Jackson, Missouri, died January 5, 2004 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born October 9, 1912, at Lutesville, MO., daughter of the late Marion Hezekiah and Rosa Baker Small. She and Ralph Webster Porter, Sr. were married on November 12, 1934 and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1958.
Mrs. Porter worked as a Cook on a Tow Boat, a member of the First Church of God in Cape Girardeau and was a member of the River City Workers for the Blind.
Survivors include one daughter Shirley (Kenneth) Leimer of Jackson, one sister-in-law Jetta Porter of Arnold, MO.
Preceding her in death was her husband, one son Ralph Webster Porter, Jr., one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be Wednesday January 7, 2004 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. The funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
