Viola G. Kirkpatrick, age 88, of Glen Allen, MO, died Wednesday. Oct. 27, 2004, at the Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown, MO.

She was born Sept. 27, 1916 at Lutesville, daughter of Jerome and Blanche V. Pair Slinkard. She married Joe Kirkpatrick and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of the Glen Allen First Baptist Church and a retired Dietician at the Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Survivors include: one son Russell “Pete” Kirkpatrick, Glen Allen, one daughter Donna Joene Powell, Fredericktown, two brothers Loy Slinkard, Arizona, Loren Slinkard, Cape Girardeau, one sister Veda Jolly, Fair Oak, Ca, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Ivan and Jefferson Slinkard and three sisters Eunice Ruch, Wreath Slinkard, Esther Walker.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev Ray Meek officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
