Obituary:
William LeRoy Walker, age 69, of McGee, MO died Friday, April 16, 2004 in Boone County Missouri as a result of a car accident.
He was born December 7, 1934 in Greenville, MO, son of William and Margaret Oliver Walker. He married Dorma Jean White on October 24, 1953, and she preceded him in death on June 1, 2000.
Mr. Walker was a Heavy Construction operator for Hutton Contractors in Strasburg, CO., operators union in Cape Girardeau, a former Bollinger County Commissioner, active in various civil defense organizations and a member of the Eagles lodge in Advance.
Survivors include: two sons Richard Leroy Walker of Colorado, Ronnie D. Walker of Cameron, MO, one daughter Rhonda Broshuis of Marble Hill, three brothers Ted Walker of Advance, Bob Walker of Fawnsdale, AL, Bud Walker of McGee, MO, two sisters Billy Jo Morris of St. Louis, Anna Lou Welker of Brownwood, MO, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 20, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Graham officiating, burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
