Obituary:

Charley Thomas Estes, 89, of Marble Hill, MO, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born January 4, 1919 in Grassy, MO son of Louis and Lury Like Estes. He and Virgie Acup were married on June 27, 1946.

He was a retired construction worker and was of the Assembly of God Faith. Mr. Estes served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; Virgie of Marble Hill, two sisters; Goldie Guthrie and Dorothy Swan both of Marble Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Oren Estes, and an infant, and two sisters; Lena and Janie.

Visitation will be Monday, June 16, 2008 from 9:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the Liley Funeral in Marble Hill.

The funeral service will be Monday, June 16, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. The burial will be in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill with full Military Honors provided by the VFW Post 5900 and the Missouri Military Honors Team.
