Obituary:
Melva Mae Overton, 93, of Advance died Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Advance Nursing Center.
She was born January 29, 1914, at McGee, Mo., daughter of Benjamin Adolph and Bertha Marie Duniphan Hanner. She and Buford E. Overton were married December 3, 1933, at McGee. He died May 25, 1964.
Overton was a member of Abernathy Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Lerrie Overton of Zalma, Mo.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Revs. Dan and Ben Overton, grandsons, will officiate. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park at Marble Hill, Mo.
