Obituary:

E. Dewayne Francis age 79, of Jackson, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born May 28, 1936 near Grassy, Missouri son of Claude and Mary Shell Francis. He and Glenda Barks were united in marriage on September 4, 1954 in Amarillo, Texas. They have been married for 61 years. E. D. was a graduate of Lutesville High and took many Ministerial Classes. He was ordained into the ministry on December 14, 1968. E. D. and Glenda were active in church, and was saved and baptized at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart, Texas. He pastored several churches in the Blackriver, Cape Girardeau and the Saint Francis Baptist Associations. He served on 2 mission trips to the country of Haiti in the Dominican Republic. His last church he pastored was at Southside Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri where he retired due to illness. He was a very caring and giving husband; father; grandfather and great PaPa.

Survivors include his wife Glenda of the home; son Steve (Terri) Francis of Fredericktown, Missouri; daughter Deana (Jerry) Myracle of Jackson, Missouri; sisters Glenda Francis of Marble Hill, Missouri; Vonda Hughes of Van Buren, Missouri; Almeda Cooper of Conyers, Georgia; Beth Tuttle of Mankato, Minnesota; six grandchildren Scott (Jennifer) Myracle of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Stephanie (David) Rhoades of St. Louis, Missouri; Mandy (Dwayne) Maclin of Jackson, Missouri; Trevor Francis of Marble Hill, Missouri; Franny (Zak) Jensen of Jackson, Missouri; Kara Beth (Marc) Richey of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Southside Baptist Church or Charity of Choice. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Francis and Rev. Bill Joyce officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, Missouri.
