Obituary:

Lela L. Upchurch, age 90, of Marble Hill, MO passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her residence.

She was born January 31, 1920 in Bollinger County, MO; daughter of Leo L and Lillie Pierce Bollinger. She and Milford Cleo Upchurch were married on December 21, 1939.

Lela had worked as a Teacher for four years, a Teachers aid at the State school in Lutesville, MO, for 20+ years, shoe factory and attended the Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 60+ years.

Survivors include: her husband, Milford, two sons, Milford E Upchurch of Enumclaw, WA; Jerry Upchurch of Millersville, MO; one brother, Clifford Bollinger of Cape Girardeau, three sisters, Eula Bridges and Leola Lincoln both of Marble Hill, Helen Martinson of Granada Hills, CA, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Micah Bristow officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
