Obituary:
Harold Clyde Glasener, age 86, of Zalma, MO passed away, on Sunday April 11, 2021 at Chafee nursing center.
He was born on July 18, 1934 in Zalma, MO, son of Jessie Clyde and Lillie M. (Stratman) Glasener. He and Jeanette Schumacher were united in marriage on March 31, 2001 and she survives him of the home.
After proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Korean war, Harold worked as a Mechanist for McDonald Douglas, and then went on to retire from Arvin in Dexter, MO. He was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church and a Zalma volunteer firefighter. Harold was proud to be a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Mason’s for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Eastern Star for the last 20 years.
Harold is survived by his wife Jeanette; one son Joshua Clyde Glasener of Puxico, MO; a stepson Kent VanMatre of Jackson, MO; a stepdaughter Whitney Jackson of Piedmont, MO; and one sister Lillie Darlene Price of Puxico, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents J. Clyde and Lillie M. Glasener, and one sister Betty June Simpson.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at Bollinger County Memorial Park in Marble Hill, on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 at 10am with Rev. Fred Ritter and Rev. Ray Placher officiating.
The arrangements were under the care of Liley Funeral Homes in Marble Hill, MO.
