Glenn E. Allmon, 80, of Jackson passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 5, 1930, at Whitewater, Mo., son of Lee and Elsie Blanche Winchester Allmon. He and Avis were united in marriage Dec. 31, 1949.
Glenn had worked for Yellow Freight Trucking as a truck driver, was a member of the Whitewater Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years, and was a member of the Whitewater United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Avis, of Jackson; one son, Roger Allmon of Jackson; one daughter, Mona Seabaugh of Jackson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Claude.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Dr. Don Kuehle and Rev. Virgil Buncj officiating. Interment will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
