Obituary:

Marie M. Stephens, 88, of Glenallen, Mo., died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 14, 1914, near Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Monroe and Julie E. Shell James. She and Milford Ross Stephens were married February 19, 1932. He died November 6, 1981.

She attended the Lutesville Church of God.

Survivors include a son, John Stephens of Glenallen; five daughters, Louella Reutzel of Jackson, Wilma Stratton of Cape Girardeau, Juanita Whitesell of Marble Hill, Shirley Farrow of Alton, Ill., and Mary Brown of Glenallen; a brother, Estel James of Marble Hill; a sister, Virgie Healy of Marble Hill; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, four brothers, four sisters and a grandson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
