Obituary:

Harley Lee Eddleman Jr. age 66, of Marble Hill, MO; passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Saint Francis Hospital from Pulmonary Fibrosis.

He was born April 20, 1949 in Cape Girardeau, MO son of Harley Lee Sr. and Gladys O. Noland Eddleman. He and Jeanie Runnels were united in marriage on August 4, 1979.

Harley graduated from the Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1968 and then from the Southeast Missouri State University in 1972 with a BS in Secondary Education. He taught school for 28 years at the Woodland R IV School District where he taught High School PE, Drivers Education, Health, and Elementary PE. He was Athletic Director, Coached the High School Girls Basketball team and the Junior High Boys Basketball team and retired from teaching in 2001. He was a school board member from 2008 to present and president of the Optimist Club. He was a member of the Marble Hill United Methodist Church and a member of the Cat Ranch Art Guild.

He loved spending time with his family especially his granddaughter, loved to golf and hunt.

Survivors include; his wife Jeanie of the home; son Ashley (Marjorie) Eddleman of Cape Girardeau; sister Paula Siemers of Cape Girardeau, granddaughter Keira Savoy, nephew Jeff (Sarah) Siemers of Cape Girardeau; niece Jennifer (Kevin) Schneider of Cape Girardeau; and great nephews Zach and Nathan Schneider.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Hargraves officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorial may be made to the Marble Hill Optimist Club.
