Obituary:
Ernest E. Slinkard, age 86, of Jackson, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Chateau Girardeau, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born on September 6, 1931 at Bessville, Missouri; son of the late Henry and Mary Yount Slinkard.
Ernest served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and then worked as an aerospace engineer for the next 40 years.
Survivors include his sons Todd (Lydia) Slinkard of Northeast, Atlanta and Phil Slinkard of Virginia; one sister Fern (Cutter) Runnels of Jackson, MO; two grandchildren Rebecca and Laura Slinkard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Winford Slinkard and Basil Slinkard, one sister Olive Mathews.
Memorial Service will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Liley funeral home in Marble Hill, MO.
