Martha Della Thornhill, age 86, of Rockford, IL and formerly of Marble Hill, MO, died Friday July 27, 2007 at the Medina Nursing Home in Medina, IL.

She was born Jan. 1, 1921 at Carbon Hill, AL daughter of Alonzo and Ida Wright Herron. She and Freemont Thornhill were married and he died Apr. 25, 1989.

Mrs. Thornhill was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in St. Charles, IL and a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, J. C. Ford, Berry, AL, two daughters; Louise Parrish, Rockford, IL, Merlene Williamson, Berry, AL, twelve grand children and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons; Henry, Rayburn and Bobby Ford.

Visitation will be Wed. Aug. 1, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. until service time at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Phillip Jordan officiating; burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery at Marble Hill.
