Obituary:

Virginia Lee Morrison, 93, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her home. She was born July 14, 1927 in Drum, Missouri to the late George and Daisy Winters Huffman. She and Leston Morrison were married September 18, 1946 in Drum, Missouri. He preceded her in death June 7, 2012. Virginia worked with her husband on the family farm for over 25 years. Her favorite pastimes were reading and doing yard work. Survivors include sons, Darrell (Ruth Anne) Morrison of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Rodger (Brenda) Morrison of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter, Pamela Goodson ( fiancé`,Stephen Weller) of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Veronica and husband Matt of Jackson, Missouri, Anthony and wife Dee of Springfield, Missouri, Dereck and wife Amanda of Jefferson City, Missouri, George and wife Erin of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and William and wife Gia of Huntsville, Alabama; eight great grandchildren, Kolton, Madison, Michael, Nicholas, Marcus, Evan, Aubrey and Isla; great-great grandchild, Jeremiah; nephews, Louis, Jr. and Gary. Feline companions, Hazel and Myrtle. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,. brother and sister. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chad Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Safe House for Women.
